On the June long weekend over 500 polocrosse players and their horses will converge on the Bungendore Showground for the 2017 NSW State Championships. Clubs from all over NSW will travel to Bungendore for the event. Members of the public are welcome to come along to watch this exciting sport – often referred to as the King of the one Horse Sport.
Polocrosse is a Truly Australian Made Sport! There are others…but only two: AFL and Two-Up! As the name itself implies, Polocrosse is a combination of polo, lacrosse and netball. It is played on horseback, each rider using a cane stick, made up of a polo stick shaft to which is attached a squash racquet type head with a loose twisted-thread net, in which the ball is carried. Generations of families play together, there are few sports that could boast that achievement.
